The NDK is needed for software development. To develop your own embedded products a TriMedia JTAG is required; MDS offers PCI and USB models that are supported by the NDK.
Momentum Data Systems (MDS) has offered development boards, tools, and OEM services for Trident's Nexperia device family since they were first announced in 1998. The Nexperia device family is also called the TriMedia device family, and Trident Semiconductors was previously the video portion of NXP Semiconductors which was previously named Philips Semiconductors.
