General:

Blunk Microsystems' embedded TCP/IP protocol stack for Nexperia processors, TargetTCP/Nexperia, is a fast, reliable, re-entrant TCP/IP protocol stack implementation designed specifically for high-performance embedded networking on Nexperia-based platforms.

In addition to all of the included protocols, TargetTCP/Nexperia now has optional IPv6 support. TargetTCP/Nexperia has been extensively tested and demonstrated to be interoperable with Windows, UNIX, and other TCP/IP protocol stacks.

Additional information

• The current release is version 2006.4 (as of Jan 2007), and supports PNX1500, PNX1700, and PNX0190 processor families on NDK4.3, 5.4, and 5.5.
• TargetTCP/Nexperia is shipped as royalty-free source code.
• TargetTCP/Nexperia is a robust, high performance product that is exceedingly well-commented. In customer benchmarks, it has performed much faster than both the Linux and other commercial TCP/IP protocol stacks.
• The code has a small footprint and is well-suited to memory constrained environments.
• TargetTCP/Nexperia is written in 100% ANSI C and is designed to be portable. It is developed and maintained on TargetOS™, Blunk Microsystems' full-featured royalty-free real time operating system, and has been used with other RTOS's, including pSOS and iTRON.
  

Features

• Current IPv6 support includes:
  1. Protocols: TCP, UDP, ICMPv6, Multicasting, Neighbor Discovery, and Auto Configuration;
  2. Servers: FTP, HTTP, SNMP, and Telnet;
  3. Clients: UDP and TCP Echo.
     
     
• More protocol support (DNS and TFTP client, etc.) is ongoing.
  
  
• Phase II of IPv6 is ongoing:
  1. Initial IPSec support scheduled for Q4 2006.
  2. Others to follow include IPv6 MIB II for SNMP (Q1 2007), IKE (Q3 2007), and Multicast Listener Discovery (MLD) (Q4 2007).
