Hawk-89 PCI ADSP2189 Board

The Hawk-89 is a PCI bus board offering general purpose multi-channel speech or audio processing. It uses the Analog Devices ADSP-2189 processor which is a 16 bit, 75 MIPS DSP processor with 192 kbytes of on-chip RAM (32 kwords program and 48 kwords data memory), and high speed serial interfaces. The Hawk-89 connects the ADSP-2189 I/O peripherals to a PMAFE (PCI Modular Analog Front End) connector which can be used to mount a daughter card providing specific I/O. Available PMAFE daughter cards offer 16 bit analog I/O at audio sample rates, and a parallel control bus. The PCI bus provides an efficient method for high speed real time data transfer between PC and DSP.
