DAE-6D High Performance AV Receiver Module
The DAE-6D AV Receiver Module, a high performance OEM module for AV Receiver and home theater system builders, provides a complete surround sound decoder system for today's latest generation of audio applications. With full support for all of the latest Dolby and DTS formats, and enough post processing power for world class bass management processing, the DAE-6D can make a great audio system into an outstanding one. Fully supported by room EQ from Audyssey and Trinnov, no other solution provides the quality level and feature integration of the DAE-6D.
The DAE-6D is based on dual Texas Instruments DA710 processors, a 32/64 bit floating point part specifically designed for A/V Receiver and surround sound decoder applications. Software includes Performance Audio Framework with support of popular decoders, matrix processing, a variety of post processing (please see the datasheet for a complete list), plus support of third party plug-ins. Using Texas Instruments' Code Composer Studio, OEMs can add custom surround post processing and sound field enhancement.
DAE-6D products, identified by DAE-6xxx numbering, consist of DAE-6D hardware and MDS firmware. Firmware utilizes audio topologies in providing your desired audio configuration and features, making the DAE-6D well suited to meet your needs as an audio product developer.
To reduce development time and expense, the DAE-6D is available with a complete development system called the ADP. The ADPis provided with source code and board schematics to reduce the effort needed to design an AV Receiver around the DAE-6D. Companion accessory cards are also available:
- ADC-6: adds 6 channels for a total of 8 analog input channels in a DAE-6D based system
- HDMI cards:
- HD-79: HDMI input (only) module
- HSR-48: 4:1 HDMI repeater
- HSR-8: 8:1 HDMI repeaterwith dual outputs
- VPROC: full analog/digital video system with scaling, deinterlacing, and On Screen Display based on Sigma (Gennum) VXP
The ADP development platform allows DAE-6D, HD-79, and ADC-6 modules to be connected. It provides a complete front panel with a character based display to allow prototyping of user interfaces. ARM processors control the modules, provides a serial port, controls USB and abstracts the user interface from the main control functions.
