Their are two EVM kits available based on the 300 MHz DA7xx device.
- DA710-KIT : BGA package device (32 bit memory), processor is socketed
- DA708-KIT : TQFP package device (16 bit memory)
The kits include the processor card, audio interface card, and host PC interface. Also included is a software CD with the Performance Audio Framework, which provides full A/V receiver functionality, including support for the latest decoders and post processing from Dolby, DTS, and THX.
Along with TI's Code Composer and a TI XDS emulator (available online from TI's eStore, or from TI distributors), the DA710/DA708 EVMs provides everything a developer needs to evaluate the DA7xx series processors and gain experience with the Performance Audio Framework.
The DA7xx devices contain large portions of the decoders in ROM; as new capability is developed flash upgrades can be made. Eventually devices with new ROMs are created, if you wish to use a newer device then you can simply purchase a new processor card for use with the kit.
The use of these products requires appropriate licensing from Dolby, DTS, and/or THX. Please contact MDS for more information.
