Hardware
Many MDS products can serve as a reference design to facilitate software development as well as being directly useable as an off-the-shelf product in OEM applications.
Most MDS products offer expansion options allowing further hardware customization. MDS specializes in quickly creating custom OEM products based on the design of our standard products. Designs can also be licensed from MDS.
Development tools
MDS offers complete development systems with all of our hardware products. These systems include the DSP compiler, debugger, and JTAG interface devices (for stand-alone products).
To help you develop your products more quickly and easily, MDS offers a combination of its own general DSP development
tools along with processor-specific development tools (compilers, jtag, etc.) and application software libraries. These processor-specific tools can be used to do software developent for hardware
products made by MDS, and also for your own custom hardware products based on the same processors.
MDS General DSP Software
The two main MDS software products are the QED filter design package, and the Pegasus graphical software design environment.
QED, a filter design software package first introduced in 1990, is still the most powerful yet easy to use tool for designing real-world filters. The optional multi-rate and sample rate packages offer design capabilities you won't find anywhere else.
