The hardware platform for the DAE-7C in DSP applications is the same hardware as used for the DAE-7C Surround Sound Decoder application; as there's no Dolby nor DTS decoders present this version can be used without the need for their software licenses.
There is no standard configuration for the firmware--customers familiar with Texas Instruments Performance Audio Framework can develop applications directly or MDS' engineering services group can be contracted to develop applications.
